POSITION SUMMARY: ChildSavers is seeking a full-time, mental health Clinician I to join the Immediate Response team. The Clinician I-Immediate Response program will be a vital support for both her/his own clients and will work within a clinical team. This position is an opportunity to affect change in the lives of children while working at a 100-year-old organization dedicated to the highest quality of care. There will be ongoing focus provided to learn effective treatment theories and skills from our team of highly experienced professionals in the field. The Clinician II-IR position supports all of our services with primary responsibilities concentrating on Immediate Response services, Outpatient therapy, and administrative support to Immediate Response team members. The incumbent must be passionate in caring for our community’s most vulnerable children and continually improving the system which supports their healing and growth. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES): • Completion of master’s degree in social work, Sociology, Psychology, or licensure track related human services field with experience working with children from a Trauma Informed Care Perspective. ChildSavers mental health service areas include Outpatient Therapy, Crisis Intervention, and Trauma Response. Specialized modalities include Art therapy, Sand tray therapy, Animal-Assisted Play therapy, Play therapy (e.g. CCPT), attachment work, and CBT. • Must be license-eligible by Board of Health Professions to practice in VA • Must hold a valid, current Commonwealth of VA Driver’s License and be insurable to drive a company vehicle. • Other requirements as assigned by DMAS and/or licensure standards. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Spanish language fluency preferred. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
