    Each year, almost 500,000 inpatient and outpatient exams and procedures are performed and interpreted at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Our Radiologists & Imaging Specialists are board certified by the American Board of Radiology in their respective subspecialties. Our subspecialized imaging physicians, American College of Radiology certified technologists and customer-service oriented staff provide our patients with brand-new imaging technologies and innovative treatment options in a compassionate environment.

    Summary of Essential Duties:

    • As an Imaging Scheduler, you will be responsible for all aspects of scheduling Imaging patients and supporting our CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Vascular, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography, X-Ray and Fluoroscopy clinics.
    • The scheduler will work closely with physicians, techs and NPs.
    • Obtains clinical information and screens for exam appropriateness.
    • Using critical thinking skills, they make judgment calls and involve the radiologist, nurse or technologist when necessary.
    • Interacts with office staff and patients, in a courteous and professional manner, with a focus on keeping waits and delays at a minimum.
    • Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments; coordinate anesthesia; verify orders; provide preparation information; obtain lab results, history and physicals, and written orders.

    Qualifications

    Education:

    • High School Diploma or GED required
    • Two years of college or comparable level of education and experience preferred

    Experience:

    • At least 2 years experience required in a fast paced and complex environment where critical thinking skills are necessary
    • Previous experience in a medical environment is desirable
    • Windows based PC experience required
