About the Quantitative Imaging Analysis Core (QIAC)
The Quantitative Imaging Analysis Core is a Diagnostic Imaging-initiated resource supporting clinical and translational oncology imaging research across the institution. QIAC provides a centralized platform for quantitative imaging analytics, helping transform how oncologic imaging data is acquired, processed, and interpreted-from raw images to insightful analysis.
We are seeking a dedicated Imaging Research Specialist to join our team and support this vital mission.
Position Summary
The Imaging Research Specialist provides specialized analytical support to QIAC by collecting, processing, and interpreting imaging data for clinical and research applications. This role collaborates with investigators, faculty, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality imaging data and reliable quantitative metrics that support oncological research.
This position is remote , with occasional on-site visits based on operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
Quantitative Data Collection
- Assess and collect quantitative imaging data.
- Review and measure lesions at baseline and follow-up timepoints.
- Identify metastatic disease and document tumor/lesion size and location.
Image Workflow & Processing
- Manage imaging workflow, including processing, archiving, and auto-routing.
- Upload imaging datasets to QIAC servers for review and analysis.
- Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) for imaging processes and systems.
Coordination & Documentation
- Coordinate and document all imaging interpretations for clinical trial datasets.
- Assist with organization, tabulation, and analysis of imaging data.
- Collaborate under the general supervision of management and faculty leadership.
Troubleshooting & Collaboration
- Work proactively with faculty, investigators, and staff across departments to identify and resolve imaging issues.
- Address discrepancies in image findings in coordination with physicians.
- Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve workflow challenges.
Other Duties
- Perform other tasks as assigned to support QIAC operations and institutional priorities.

EDUCATION
- Required: Bachelor's Degree Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Medical Imaging or related field.
- Preferred: Master's Degree
WORK EXPERIENCE
- Required: 1 year Experience in medical imaging or medical sciences.
- Preferred: 1 year Experience in imaging aspects of clinical trials; familiarity with oncology image-based tumor response criteria.
