SUMMARY:
Under the general supervision of the Vice President of Diagnostic Imaging and reporting to the Director of Radiology Information Systems, coordinates site Diagnostic Imaging Information Systems (DIIS) activities. Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), Image Sharing Platform, Radiology Information Systems (RIS) and Voice Recognition System (VR). Participates in the coordination and implementation of all interfaces and system upgrades. Ensures all DIIS systems meet the needs of the hospitals, the providers and the Diagnostic Imaging department.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
EDUCATION:
Level of knowledge normally acquired through completion of baccalaureate degree in computer science or related field.
Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to patients throughout Lifespan with consideration of aging processes, human development stages and cultural patterns in each step of the care process.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 2 years experience in PACS/RIS administration in a diagnostic imaging department including experience with hardware and software interfaces to maintain operations.
Experience in a data management role to include application utilization, data analysis, report generation and troubleshooting.
Analytical ability to locate, research and resolve errors and problems.
Organizational skills to gather, assemble and maintain data from a wide variety of sources.
