  • Pay Rate: $80.00 $85.00 / Hour (USD)

Job Summary

The manager will be primarily responsible for performing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings together with the client's Global Consolidation Reporting team and may provide project support for new IFRS-related initiatives. This role will work with senior members in the team to prepare the client's consolidation financial information, ensuring the records are maintained in compliance with SOX and appropriate internal controls.

Key Responsibilities

Work with members to perform closing, including assisting with various consolidated financial reporting requests:

  • Coordinate/communicate with the divisional GFO reporting group to ensure timely, accurate, and complete reporting of financial information.
  • Prepare the client's consolidation financial and supplemental schedules as well as financial disclosure schedules within tight schedules.
  • Prepare the final submission reporting files of the client's financial information submitted to Tokyo in Tango.
  • Prepare the client's consolidation management reporting package.
  • Coordinate/communicate with the client's Group Tokyo to submit the required financial information and respond to inquiries regarding the client's financial results.
  • Coordinate documentation requests with internal and external audit/compliance teams.
  • Assist with the maintenance of the client's chart of accounts and profit center/segment reporting hierarchies.

Assist with financial reporting projects:

  • Support IFRS18 implementation activities, in coordination with the client's personnel, including: maintain and reconcile reports with the updated client's chart of accounts and hierarchies.
  • S/4 HANA data analysis and reconciliation to support reporting, in coordination with the client's IT and GFO financial reporting teams.
  • Support various ad-hoc special financial reporting projects, as needed.

Perform maintenance of the SAP/BW/Tango System:

  • Coordinate/communicate with system administration, including evaluating changes to SAP, BW, and Tango consolidation system accounts and profit center hierarchy.
  • Update and maintain Tango application for the client's monthly financial submission to Sony Group.

Required Skills

  • Public Accounting experience
  • SAP/BW/S4 HANA systems knowledge
  • Detail-oriented, with excellent analytical, project management, organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to be flexible, multitask, prioritize, and meet all deadlines
  • Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Charts, etc.)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated, team player

Preferred Skills

  • Entertainment experience
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum

Education Requirements

  • B.S./B.A. Accounting, Business, Finance, or Economics (required)
  • C.P.A. (or equivalent) preferred, not required
