    This is a support position to the IEC Maintenance Department. The IEC Maintenance Foreman provides support and supervision in the repair, installation, and calibration of refinery and terminal IEC equipment and for other activities that involve the IEC Maintenance Department. The IEC Maintenance Foreman provides supervision as needed in the absence of the Maintenance Supervisor.

    Position Qualifications:

    • This requires a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent; requires meeting or exceeding

    qualifications of IEC Tech IV

    • 6 years of industrial IEC experience or 6 years of related experience assessed as qualified by the Maintenance Supervisor and/or Maintenance / Engineering Manager;
    • Requires successful completion of training requirements as outlined by the Maintenance / Engineering Manager; requires basic electrical, electronic, and computer skills
    • Strong communication and organization skills recommended.
    • A valid driver's license must be maintained
    • Must have successfully completed and passed a Functional Job Capacity Evaluation (FCE).

    Responsibilities Include the Following:

    • Complete Emergency Response Training successfully and perform duties as assigned
    • Keep safe work habits as the highest priority at all times
    • Maintain a clean and well-organized workspace at all times
    • Strive to develop good working relationships with all co-workers, customers and associates
    • Complete work orders on IEC-related equipment and document all service and repairs while striving to continually improve the preventive maintenance program
    • Install and maintain electric heat tracing
    • Perform repair and maintenance work on steam systems
    • Install electrical conduit and wiring
    • Troubleshoot and repair control valves, regulators, transducers, heater control panels, motor controls, transmitters, final control devices and other IEC-related items
    • Design, install and maintain instrument tubing
    • Implement, program and maintain microprocessor controllers, programmable logic controllers and combustion controllers
    • Serve as job leader and assist in job planning and scheduling for various IEC related tasks when directed by the Maintenance Supervisor
    • Assist Maintenance Supervisor with training and overall achievement of departmental goals
    • Provide supervision as needed in the absence of Maintenance Supervisor
    • Supervise contractors when directed by Maintenance Supervisor
    • Interpret and assist in generation of P&IDs and other IEC-related devices
    • Assist in various tasks throughout refinery and terminal as directed by Maintenance Supervisor
    • Serve as the primary contact person for after-hours call-outs and contact the needed personnel
    • Available for call-out when scheduled by the Maintenance Supervisor
    • Assist in planning and scheduling of IEC orders
    • Maintain SAP Planner Group MS2
    • Coordinate daily work orders for IEC Maintenance Department
    • Complete SAP work orders accurately
    • Reserve and requisition material for IEC orders
    • Complete OSHA and Safety Trained Supervisor Training
