    Hire Type: Full Time

    Pay: Commensurate with experience

    Work Schedule: Typically Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

    Export Compliance Requirement: This position requires access to EAR or ITAR controlled technologies. Applicants are required to be eligible for employment under U.S. export control laws and must meet the requirement of being a “U.S. Citizen”.

    The ideal candidate for the project manager position will have experience in communicating and planning all aspects of programs, including budgets, resource allocations, timelines, and team dynamics. Strong time management and meticulous attention to detail are essential, along with the ability to utilize metrics to foresee and mitigate potential issues.
    Responsibilities of this role include ensuring the timely and high-quality completion of initiatives while managing program requirements and coordinating with various stakeholders. Duties include planning projects in details, managing schedules for all stakeholders and working with technical teams to ensure project deliverables are met. This role is also responsible for tracking and communicating the budgetary and technical status for of each project assigned. Additionally, this role will manage and oversee applicable business management processes as they relate to projects within their portfolio to include but not limited to purchase order management and invoicing.

    Job Summary

    Manages assigned project(s) to meet department objectives.

    Essential Functions

    Develops project plans, creates schedules and ensures task deliverables meet expectations. Collaborates with project contributors to assess and ensure successful project outcomes. Defines and ensures resources are assigned to meet project goals. Monitors project and communicates quality and progress metrics to department and/or staff(s). Recommends project budget and monitors and adjusts plan as resource requirements change. Addresses and resolves project issues to ensure goals remain on track.

    Required Education and Experience

    Bachelor's degree in a related field

    Two (2) years of experience in project management or related field

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    Experience with US Government Contracting (Grants and/or FAR Based)

    Understanding of additive manufacturing, advanced materials or composites
    Familiarity with research methodologies and project management principles
    Awareness of relevant industry standards and regulations
    Basic knowledge of budget management and funding processes
    Strong time management and organizational skills
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    Proficient in project management software
    Ability to analyze data and generate reports
    Proficiency in risk management and mitigation strategies
    Ability to coordinate and collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders
    Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
    Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing priorities
    Comfortability and confidence to lead client meetings and regular team updates
    Leadership qualities to motivate and guide multi-disciplinary, technical research teams
    Attention to detail in monitoring project progress and deliverables

    Physical Requirements

    Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment including but not limited to phone, printers, copiers, and calculators.

    Ability to interpret effectively, accurately and impartially, both receptively and expressively.

    Ability to communicate with others and accurately exchange information.

    Ability to remain in a stationary position.
