About this position
IDB Lab is looking for a dynamic, results-oriented, and client-focused Financial & Data candidate to support financial planning and analysis, financial risk modeling, liquidity and capital planning, data analytics, and other corporate finance-related activities. The role requires strong financial and analytical skills, and proven experience with data management including the ability to integrate financial, operational, and portfolio data from multiple sources, support cloud-based FP&A and scenario modeling tools, and translate complex analysis into clear insights for management, operational teams, and donor-related discussions.

What you'll need
Education: Master's degree (or equivalent advanced degree) in finance, economics, data analytics, risk management, business administration, or other fields relevant to the responsibilities of the role. Certifications such as CFA, FRM, or similar credentials are highly desirable.
Experience: At least 3 years of relevant progressive experience, preferably 5 years of professional experience, in financial planning and analysis, corporate finance, financial risk management, banking, investment analysis, or related fields. Previous work with multilateral development financial institutions is a plus. Demonstrated experience working in or with markets in Latin America and the Caribbean, including familiarity with the region's financial, economic, and investment dynamics.
Financial & Risk Analysis: Proven experience supporting financial risk analysis, portfolio risk monitoring, liquidity risk assessment, or enhancements to risk-related financial planning frameworks. Experience in capital planning or long-term financial sustainability analysis is desirable.
Data Analytics: Experience working with multiple financial and operational data sources, including SAP, Salesforce, Excel-based models, database connections, ODBC sources, or other enterprise systems. Knowledge of tools such as SQL, Power Query, Power BI, R, and advanced Excel is highly desirable. Experience or familiarity with cloud-based planning and analytics platforms, such as SAP Analytics Cloud or similar tools, is desirable as well.
Languages: Proficiency in Spanish and English, spoken and written, is required. Additional knowledge of French and Portuguese is a plus.
