    We are looking for:Nursing/ICU Veterinary Technician

    Proposed Schedule: Week 1: Wed, Fri, Sat  Week 2: Thurs, Fri, Sat (1st shift hours)

    Never a dull moment in the Nursing department! Our patients need constant supervision to ensure treatment plans are being executed. This department is perfect forsomeone who canidentifypatientdistress and react accordingly, enjoysphlebotomy, placing IV catheters,assistingwith recovery and client follow up and education.

    What you’ll do: 

    • Record and deliver organized rounds, discusscasesand gatheradditionalinformation as necessary

    • Evaluating incoming patients and prioritizing based on assessment

    • Partner with patient care teamregardingtreatment plans, clientcommunicationand nursing care concerns

    • Provide client education including, but not limitedto:home care instructions, medications (indications, adverse reactions)and general wellness updates on hospitalized patients

    • Assist DVM with patient assessment,treatmentand procedures

    • Provide monitoring and nursing care to hospitalized patients

    • Induce andmonitorgeneral anesthesia and sedation procedures

    • Perform in-house laboratory testing and prepare samples for outside laboratory testing

    Who you are: 

    • State Registered Veterinary Technician licensepreferred

    • Prior veterinary experience,previousnursing or critical careexperience desired

    • Proficient in calculations (drugs, constant rate infusions, unit conversions, etc.)

    • Flexibility with work hours and able to workadditionalhours when necessary

    • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
