About the Role:

The Internal Controls Financial Reporting (ICFR) Specialist will design, test, and maintain internal financial controls. The position will ensure regulatory compliance, identify process risks, and partner with internal and external auditors to manage testing and reporting. This strategic role will champion a strong culture of compliance and control across our decentralized, network-based logistics operations. Acting as a trusted partner to Finance, HR, IT, Legal and Operations teams, the role ensures automation, audit traceability, and continuous readiness for internal and external reviews. This role will drive standardization of operational and financial controls, manage critical accounting risks, and lead interactions with auditors, serving as the primary point of contact for all control and audit matters. As the organization's control guardian, the role will ensure all open issues are resolved timely, while supporting global audit consistency and governance across all business units.

Key Responsibilities:

  • In charge of working with consultants and Global Noatum Logistics Cluster to develop and test controls around all key functional areas in the US (Finance, HR, IT, Legal and Operations).
  • Manage the audits of controls by both internal and external auditors. This is including but not limited to meeting with functional areas to walk through and validate the control process and assist in collecting required supporting documents.
  • Report on findings of the test of controls to both the FD and Global including required responses to control findings by the auditors
  • Provide recommendations for improvement of controls.
  • Provide recommendations for testing of controls.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong understanding of deadlines.
  • Ability to work with international counterparts.

What We Are Looking For:

  • 3+ years in public accounting with specific experience in auditing and testing controls.
  • Strong knowledge of internal control frameworks, risk management principles, and audit methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and international stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and audit/compliance management tools.
  • Experience supporting global compliance and governance initiatives.
  • Background in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or multinational organizations.
