Position Description:

We are seeking an Icertis Data Migration Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support a large-scale enterprise transformation and the implementation of Icertis Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM). This is a hands-on technical role focused on migrating both structured contract data and large volumes of unstructured documents from legacy systems into the Icertis Contract Intelligence (ICI) platform. The ideal candidate combines data migration and software development experience with hands-on expertise in document and file migration. You will work with legacy repositories such as SharePoint Online, on-premises SharePoint, and other enterprise systems, developing scripts and automation to extract, transform, consolidate, validate, and prepare documents for migration. This role is well suited for a technical professional who can independently troubleshoot complex migration challenges and build solutions, not a traditional Business Analyst, records management specialist, or document management coordinator.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support end-to-end migration of structured contract data and unstructured documents into Icertis CLM.
  • Develop and maintain migration strategies, including scope, sequencing, dependencies, mock migration cycles, and cutover readiness.
  • Develop scripts and automation to extract, transform, consolidate, validate, and load documents and files.
  • Process and prepare documents for migration, including PDF manipulation, document consolidation, file conversion, and identification of password-protected files.
  • Migrate documents from legacy repositories, including SharePoint Online, on-premises SharePoint, and other enterprise systems.
  • Define and refine data mapping requirements, including mandatory fields, attribute-level transformation logic, metadata, and Icertis object structures.
  • Define document migration requirements, including folder structures, document types, categorization, metadata, and document-to-contract relationships.
  • Utilize SQL and ETL tools for data extraction, cleansing, transformation, validation, and reconciliation.
  • Support file movement and integration using SFTP and APIs where required.
  • Validate migration processes against Icertis API standards, object models, metadata requirements, and technical limitations.
  • Provide technical guidance to data conversion and ETL developers throughout extraction, transformation, validation, and loading activities.
  • Reconcile legacy data and documents against Icertis load results to ensure accuracy, completeness, and traceability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data mapping, document processing, document linkage, file transfer, and API-related issues.
  • Support integration testing, user acceptance testing, mock migrations, and production cutover.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, CLM functional leads, technical integration teams, Icertis specialists, and vendor partners.
  • Evaluate document readiness for AI-based extraction and classification, including Discover AI, where applicable.

Required Skills/Education

  • Proven experience with data migration, data conversion, document migration, or enterprise system implementation.
  • Strong hands-on software development, scripting, or automation experience.
  • Experience personally developing scripts or tools to migrate, transform, manipulate, or validate large volumes of documents and files.
  • Experience working with unstructured data, including PDFs and other common document/file formats.
  • Hands-on experience with PDF processing, such as merging, converting, consolidating, validating, or manipulating documents.
  • Strong SQL and ETL experience for data extraction, transformation, cleansing, and validation.
  • Experience with scripting or development languages/tools such as Python, PowerShell, Shell/Bash, or similar technologies.
  • Experience with SharePoint migration, SharePoint Online, on-premises SharePoint, or other enterprise document repositories is highly valuable.
  • Understanding of SFTP, file transfer, APIs, and system integrations.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex technical issues across multiple systems.
  • Ability to independently analyze problems, develop technical solutions, and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Icertis CLM experience is strongly preferred, including familiarity with Icertis Contract Intelligence (ICI), Icertis data structures, configuration workbooks, metadata models, and APIs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Icertis implementations or migrations.
  • Experience supporting large-scale enterprise data or document conversion programs.
  • Experience with contract lifecycle management (CLM) platforms.
  • Experience with federal contracting or government-related enterprise environments.
  • Familiarity with Discover AI or similar document extraction, classification, or intelligent document processing technologies.
  • Prior experience in federal contract management or paralegal environments.
