Job Description: We are looking for an experienced
IBM Sterling File Gateway professional with strong expertise in
Sterling Integrator, File Gateway, Connect, EDI, and scripting/automation. The resource will be responsible for restructuring workflows and processes and implementing automation solutions based on customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Understand and analyze business and customer requirements and translate them into Sterling File Gateway solutions.
- Configure and provision partners in IBM Sterling Integrator and Sterling File Gateway.
- Create and maintain custom business processes and channel templates for application-specific file transfer requirements.
- Administer and support IBM Sterling File Gateway, including partner onboarding and file transfer workflows.
- Configure, install, upgrade, and support IBM Connect environments.
- Perform Sterling File Gateway and Connect upgrades, migrations, and configuration changes.
- Troubleshoot file transfer issues and coordinate with application, infrastructure, database, and other support teams for timely resolution.
- Develop and support automation using Shell, Perl, Python, or PowerShell scripting.
- Research and implement solutions for system availability monitoring, statistical analysis, automation, and deployment.
- Collaborate with technical teams, business stakeholders, and customers to deliver reliable file transfer solutions.
Required Skills:- 10+ years of experience with IBM Sterling File Gateway / Sterling Integrator.
- Strong experience with Sterling File Gateway Administration and Sterling Dashboard.
- Hands-on experience configuring and provisioning partners in Sterling Integrator and File Gateway.
- Strong knowledge of IBM Connect, including installation, configuration, administration, and upgrades.
- Good functional knowledge of EDI and enterprise file transfer processes.
- Experience with Linux/Unix environments and scripting.
- Scripting experience with Shell, Perl, Python, and/or PowerShell.
- Working knowledge of DB2, MQ, UNIX/Linux, and Connect.
- Experience with automation/workload scheduling tools such as Stonebranch, GoAnywhere, and Control-M.
- Exposure to Globalscape is highly desirable.
- Experience with Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS) is a plus.
