Job Summary: This role involves deep assessment and optimization of an existing IBM Db2 database supporting a critical transportation management system. You will be responsible for identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks, mitigating operational risks, and leading a complex migration from Windows to Linux. This position requires close collaboration with IBM support to ensure seamless transitions and continued business continuity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze Db2 architecture and performance to identify and resolve issues.
- Tune and optimize SQL queries for high-volume transactional workloads.
- Troubleshoot and resolve critical production database incidents.
- Enhance the Windows Server environment for optimal Db2 performance.
- Plan and execute a live Db2 database migration from Windows to Linux.
Must-Have Skills:
- Proven experience migrating live production Db2 databases from Windows to Linux.
- Deep expertise in Db2 LUW administration, tuning, and performance analysis.
- Strong Windows Server and Linux administration skills for database workloads.
Domain / Industry Experience: Experience supporting transportation management systems or similar enterprise-level operational workloads is preferred.
