Job Title: I&C Specialist 1 (Instrumentation & Controls Specialist)
Location: Wilsonville, AL 35186
Duration: 09/14/2026 –07/30/2027
Pay Rate: $30.85/hr
Shift Timing: 1st shift

Job Description:
The I&C Specialist will maintain and troubleshoot plant instrumentation and control systems. The role involves working with electrical equipment, PLCs, DCS systems, and plant control systems to keep operations running safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and repair instrumentation and control equipment.
Troubleshoot electrical and control system issues.
Work with PLCs, DCS, and turbine control systems.
Perform testing, calibration, and equipment checks.
Support plant maintenance and operations teams.
Read electrical drawings and control diagrams.
Follow safety rules and use required PPE.
Participate in rotating on-call support.

Required Skills:

Experience with Instrumentation & Controls (I&C).
Experience with PLC, DCS, or Turbine Control Systems.
Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting.
Ability to read electrical drawings.
Good problem-solving skills.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Willing to work on-call when required.

Preferred Skills:

Emerson Ovation experience.
GE Mark VIe experience.
Power plant or industrial maintenance experience.

Education Required:

Associate degree or technical certification in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, or related field preferred.
Equivalent hands-on experience may be considered.
