    Job Description:
    • Seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Inspector to join the Quality & Inspection Team supporting ongoing LNG operations at the Sabine Pass Terminal.
    • The E&I Inspector is responsible for ensuring that electrical and instrumentation systems, equipment, maintenance activities, repairs, modifications, and capital projects are executed in accordance with company specifications, applicable industry codes and standards, regulatory requirements, and Client quality expectations.
    • This role provides independent quality oversight and technical inspection support for operating facilities, maintenance work, reliability initiatives, turnarounds, brownfield projects, system upgrades, and commissioning activities.
    • The E&I Inspector works closely with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Reliability, Projects, Construction, and Commissioning teams to verify compliance and ensure safe, reliable, and high-quality execution of work.
    Primary Responsibilities
    Inspection & Quality Assurance:
    • Perform quality inspections of electrical and instrumentation installations, maintenance activities, repairs, modifications, and replacement work throughout operating facilities.
    • Verify compliance with approved procedures, engineering drawings, specifications, work packages, and applicable industry codes and standards.
    • Inspect installation, maintenance, and repair activities involving, but not limited to:
    • Power distribution systems
    • MCCs and switchgear
    • Transformers
    • Cable trays and conduit systems
    • Grounding and bonding systems
    • Lighting systems
    • Junction boxes and termination cabinets
    • Control systems and field instrumentation
    Verify proper installation and maintenance of:
    • PLC and DCS equipment
    • Marshalling cabinets
    • Control panels
    • Analyzer systems
    • Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS)
    • Associated instrumentation and communication networks
    • Overall Instrumentation
    • Conduct field inspections to confirm equipment identification, tagging, labeling, configuration, accessibility, and maintainability requirements.
    • Ensure all electrical and instrumentation work complies with applicable NEC, NFPA, ISA, IEC, API, client specifications, and project quality requirements.
    Maintenance & Reliability Support:
    • Provide inspection support for preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, reliability improvement initiatives, and turnaround activities.
    • Verify equipment condition, workmanship quality, and compliance with maintenance procedures and approved standards.
    • Support root cause investigations and equipment failure analyses by providing inspection findings and technical observations.
    • Identify recurring quality concerns and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
    Testing, Calibration & Commissioning:
    • Witness and verify electrical and instrumentation testing activities, including:
    • Continuity testing
    • Insulation resistance testing (Megger)
    • Grounding tests
    • Functional testing
    • Loop checks
    • Calibration verification
    • Cause and effect testing
    • System performance testing
    • Verify instrument calibration records and ensure testing documentation is complete and accurate.
    • Participate in pre-startup safety reviews, pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup, and turnover activities.
    Project & Modification Support:
    • Support quality oversight for facility modifications, management of change (MOC) projects, brownfield installations, equipment upgrades, and capital projects.
    • Review engineering drawings, IFC packages, technical specifications, vendor documentation, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and quality records.
    • Participate in contractor surveillance activities and verify contractor compliance with project and site quality requirements.
    • Support project walkdowns, punch list management, mechanical completion verification, and final turnover acceptance.
    Documentation & Reporting:
    • Generate detailed inspection reports and document observations, deficiencies, and non-conformances.
    • Issue and track non-conformances records (NCRs), quality notifications, punch list items, and corrective action follow-up activities.
    • Maintain complete and accurate inspection records in accordance with company quality management requirements.
    • Support development and review of turnover packages and quality documentation.
    Safety, Compliance & Continuous Improvement:
    • Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring work activities comply with Client HSSEQ requirements and safe work practices.
    • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and industry standards.
    • Participate in audits, assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Provide technical guidance and mentoring related to quality requirements and inspection best practices.
    • Attend department, project, and operational meetings as required and provide inspection status updates.
    Skills and Qualifications:
    • High school diploma or equivalent required; Technical diploma or associate's degree in electrical, Instrumentation, or related discipline preferred.
    • Minimum of 10+ years of experience as an Electrical and Instrumentation Inspector on industrial, LNG, petrochemical, refinery, or oil & gas construction projects.
    • Strong understanding of electrical and instrumentation installation practices and inspection methodologies.
    • Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA, ISA, IEC, API, and other applicable industry standards.
    • Ability to read and interpret electrical one-line diagrams, loop drawings, wiring diagrams, cable schedules, P&IDs, and construction drawings.
    • Experience reviewing Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), quality documentation, and turnover packages.
    • Experience supporting inspection activities during facility operations, mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup, and system handover processes.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and electronic inspection/document management systems.
    • Valid driver's license and ability to access active industrial construction sites.
    • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
    • Microsoft suite of software, Bluebeam.
    Soft Skills:
    • Excellent command of the English language in both oral and written communication.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate across other departments
    • Ability to prepare clear inspection reports and maintain accurate project documentation.
