    What We Offer:

    Hyperbaric Technician

    Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:15 AM–4:15 PM
    Travel: Travel between clinic locations may be required based on business and patient care needs.

    Job Summary

    The Hyperbaric Technician supports the safe and efficient delivery of hyperbaric oxygen therapy to patients. This role is responsible for preparing and monitoring patients and equipment, maintaining a safe treatment environment, and collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other members of the clinical team to provide high-quality patient care.

    What We're Looking For:
    • Education: High School or GED required. Vocational / Technical LPN or EMT/Paramedic, preferred.
    • Experience: 2 years In the medical field, required.
    • Licensure/Certification: Licensed Practical nurse or EMT/Paramedic, preferred.
    • Additional Skills/Requirements (required): 
      • Successful completion of a NBDHMT/UHMS approved hyperbaric medicine introductory course.
      • Must obtain certificate of competency in transcutaneous oximetry monitoring.
      • Upon eligibility, must obtain certification for Hyperbaric Technologist (CHT) and maintain certification.
      • Must complete an 8 hour wound care course and a preceptorship with a certified wound care nurse.
      • Must have patient care experience.
    • Additional Skills/Requirements (preferred): Emergency medicine and/or hyperbaric diving experience.
    What You'll Do:
    • Prepare hyperbaric chambers and equipment for daily patient treatments.
    • Perform required safety checks and inspections before, during, and after treatments.
    • Prepare patients for hyperbaric oxygen therapy and provide education regarding the treatment process and safety requirements.
    • Monitor patients throughout treatment and maintain communication with patients while they are in the hyperbaric chamber.
    • Observe and report changes in patient condition or treatment tolerance to the appropriate clinical team member.
    • Clean, inspect, and assist with routine maintenance of hyperbaric equipment and treatment areas.
    • Follow all established infection prevention, patient safety, fire safety, and hyperbaric safety standards.
    • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, wound care specialists, and other team members to coordinate patient care.
    • Assist with scheduling and coordinating patient treatments to support efficient clinic operations and patient flow.
    • Maintain required certifications, competencies, and continuing education.
