Overview:

We are seeking a Hydraulic Repair Technician to join our team. This person will provide on and off-site support and will be an essential member of our tool business. 

Responsibilities:

• Repair pumps, valves, and cylinders as related to our business, per customer request
• Test and inspect hydraulic pumps, valves and cylinders, etc.
• Use measuring devices, calipers, torque tools, and various other hand tools to service equipment
• Test and certify all rental and other equipment as required
• Perform on-site maintenance and repair to customer’s equipment
• Provide technical support via multiple communication avenues as necessary to all departments and customers as necessary
• Work closely with operations to ensure efficient and accurate quoting and billing of repair & service work to include reports, filing, product research, customer interaction, status updates, part inquisition, and repair needs
• Keeps chronological records of service activity to include receiving, evaluation, parts requests, repairs, completions, and tests/certifications
• Attend certification classes and schools as required
• Shop maintenance (cleaning, organizing, trash removal, and securing valuables)

Qualifications:

• HS Diploma or GED equivalent
• 5+ years of experience in hydraulic repairs/rebuilds
• Ability to read schematics, diagrams, and technical charts
• Valid driver’s license
• Solid understanding of mechanical and hydraulic principles
• Mechanically inclined
• Basic math and science skills
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
• Planning and managing projects
• Professional and clear written and verbal skills
• Some MS Office experience
• Customer Service

 

Preferred skills and qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in mechanics or industrial technology
• License to operate a forklift
