Shape the Flow: H&H Engineer & Project Manager Phoenix, Arizona | Full-Time | SalariedThe OpportunityREC is seeking a Hydraulic/Hydrology Engineer & Project Manager to lead public infrastructure and flood control projects throughout the Southwest.This role is ideal for a licensed PE who enjoys technical modeling, project leadership, mentoring junior engineers, and managing projects from concept through completion.Technical ResponsibilitiesDevelop and analyze 1D and 2D stormwater models using HEC-RAS, HEC-RAS 2D, HEC-HMS, and FLO-2DSupport FEMA permitting efforts and navigate local drainage and floodplain regulationsOversee drainage design and construction plan development utilizing AutoCADManage geospatial and mapping data using ArcGIS and QGISProvide technical guidance and mentorship to EITs and junior staffConduct field investigations and prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholdersProject Management ResponsibilitiesLead projects to successful completion while maintaining schedule, budget, and quality objectivesCoordinate with multidisciplinary teams and project stakeholdersIdentify and implement process improvements and innovative engineering solutionsMonitor project performance metrics and assist with resource planning and staffingQualificationsBachelor's Degree in Civil EngineeringProfessional Engineer (PE) license requiredArizona PE registration preferred or ability to obtain through reciprocity5+ years of drainage, stormwater, or hydraulic/hydrologic engineering experienceExperience with construction methods, specifications, and design implementationStrong communication, organization, and problem-solving skillsFamiliarity with Phoenix-area drainage criteria and regulations is highly preferredAdditional RequirementsAbility to work at a computer workstation for extended periodsAbility to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds during site visitsMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorshipInterested in learning more?
