If this sounds like you, CTOS is hiring a Hydraulic & Electrical Truck Equipment Technician to assemble, install, modify, and troubleshoot specialized upfits—cranes, aerial devices, lighting, PTOs, pumps, tool systems, and more.

Your Impact

• Install custom truck bodies, utility equipment, cranes, and aerial devices to customer specifications.
• Execute mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic integration with precision.
• Interpret and apply wiring diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Mount PTOs, pumps, hydraulic tanks/valves; wire lighting packages, toolboxes, and accessories.
• Fabricate brackets and mounts; create custom solutions as required.
• Diagnose and resolve build issues quickly to maintain quality and schedule.
• Verify safety and quality through thorough inspection and testing.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and collaborate across production, engineering, and service.

What You’ll Need

• Experience as a mechanic, upfit technician, installer, fabricator, diesel or automotive technician, or related trade.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Proficiency with hand/power tools, diagnostic gear, and fabrication tools.
• Ability to read and follow blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manuals.
• Welding/fabrication experience is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting ability and attention to detail.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds; comfortable in a shop environment.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
