Job Details

Key Responsibilities and Duties

Process electronic billing submissions through various e-billing platforms.
Perform routine billing and collections data entry and processing.
Update and maintain matter information within internal systems.
Review, edit, and process pre-bills for accuracy.
Ensure rates, narratives, expenses, and matter coding comply with client requirements.
Generate and distribute invoices to attorneys and clients.
Track invoice status and maintain A/R and unbilled inventory records.
Monitor collections activity and assist with invoice follow-up.
Resolve billing discrepancies and client submission issues.
Identify billing trends and proactively address potential problems.
Support attorneys and internal stakeholders with billing-related inquiries.
Meet billing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications
Needed:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.
Minimum 2 years of legal billing experience within a law firm environment.
Extensive experience utilizing multiple electronic billing platforms.
Experience processing invoices, pre-bills, collections, and A/R functions.
Experience with insurance defense clients and split-billing arrangements preferred.
Aderant Expert software experience preferred.
Strong understanding of client billing guidelines and compliance requirements.
Proven ability to manage deadlines and prioritize multiple projects.
Ability to troubleshoot billing issues and resolve discrepancies independently.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to adapt to changing client technology platforms and billing requirements.
