Horne Heating and Air Conditioning is hiring an HVAC Training Program Coordinator to help organize and support our Technical Academy and apprenticeship initiatives.

This is a part-time administrative and program coordination role for someone who enjoys keeping schedules, records, training materials, and people organized. You'll work with instructors, department leaders, mentors, and apprentices to keep technical training programs running smoothly and ensure participants have the information and resources they need.

What You'll Do

  • Coordinate Technical Academy schedules, classes, and training activities

  • Maintain apprentice enrollment, attendance, certification, and progress records

  • Organize training materials, presentations, manuals, and curriculum resources

  • Coordinate instructor calendars and classroom needs

  • Communicate program information with apprentices, mentors, instructors, and department leaders

  • Assist with onboarding and technical training activities

  • Support internal workshops, educational sessions, and company training events

  • Prepare program reports and maintain accurate documentation

  • Order and organize classroom materials and training resources

  • Help keep apprenticeship requirements and documentation on track

  • Assist with leadership development and other employee training initiatives

  • Identify opportunities to improve program organization and administrative processes

What We're Looking For

  • Two or more years of experience in program coordination, administrative support, training, education, human resources, or a related role

  • Strong organizational and scheduling abilities

  • Excellent attention to detail and recordkeeping

  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects and deadlines

  • Professional written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office

  • Ability to work independently while coordinating with several departments

  • Comfortable communicating with employees at different stages of their careers

  • Professional judgment when handling employee and program information

Experience with apprenticeship programs, workforce development, curriculum coordination, or employee training is especially valuable.

Experience within HVAC, plumbing, electrical, construction, home services, or another skilled trade is helpful but not required.

Familiarity with learning management systems, HRIS platforms, or training software is also a plus. An associate's or bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field is preferred but not required.
