HVAC Service Technician

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated HVAC Service Technician to deliver high-quality service, troubleshooting, and repairs for commercial HVAC systems. In this role, you will work directly with customers to diagnose issues, perform maintenance and repairs, and ensure building systems operate safely and efficiently. This is a full-time, immediate-hire opportunity based in the Tampa, FL area, primarily working across commercial job sites within a 45-mile radius.

Responsibilities

Accurately assess needed repairs and issues efficiently and effectively
Perform maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on Rooftop Units (RTUs) under 20 tons, ice machines, water pumps, boilers, and basic steam systems
Maintain direct daily communication with commercial customers and office personnel
Provide guidance and mentorship to entry-level technicians as opportunities arise
Requirements

Associate degree or certification in HVAC/Refrigeration
Minimum 2 years of commercial heating and air conditioning experience
Universal Refrigeration license required
Knowledge of refrigeration cycles, heating appliances, and basic steam systems
Ability to access controls and make minor adjustments
Advanced electrical knowledge
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Team player with a positive, professional attitude
