Facilities HVAC Technicians support maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and install of electrical and mechanical equipment within Tesla s Gigafactory Nevada facility. Facilities HVAC Technicians utilize technical, interpersonal and critical thinking skills, while working as a team with the entire Facilities Operations and Maintenance departments, performing general HVAC maintenance duties, preventive maintenance, and emergency maintenance as needed and assigned.
- Perform maintenance on various types of industrial equipment as needed (typically mechanical equipment)
- Utilize equipment drawings and manuals to maintain and trouble shoot equipment
- Identify parts required for maintenance jobs and coordination of requesting various parts for jobs
- Communicate equipment issues with leadership and drive solutions to issues
- Displays positive attitudes and practices good work ethics that reflects the mission, philosophy, and goals of the company
- Must have a minimum of 5+ years of related work experience as an HVAC Technician (non-construction) and be a Universal EPA license holder
- Proficient in using vacuum pumps and gauges to pull refrigerant, and skilled in using hand tools and power tools
- Ability to read and comprehend equipment manuals, drawings, parts lists, etc.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed
- Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all levels of management
- Must have a high degree of initiative, with the ability to work independently and effectively with other people and teams
- Must have a written and verbal command of the English language
