HVAC Technician

In this role, you'll be running service calls and preventative maintenance on commercial HVAC units across the Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn, and Manhattan, diagnosing problems on site and getting systems back up and running. A strong service and PM background on commercial units (this role is built for service techs, so install focused or residential experience won't carry over).

HumanHire is partnering with a well-established commercial HVAC service company based in Queens to find an HVAC Service Technician to join their growing team!

In this role, you'll be running service calls and preventative maintenance on commercial HVAC units across the Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn, and Manhattan, diagnosing problems on site and getting systems back up and running.

They offer:

• Up to $50/hr based on experience servicing and troubleshooting commercial units. 
• Monday through Friday, usually 8AM to 5PM, with OT available
• Fully covered family medical plan, plus low cost dental and vision
• Company van, tools, gas card, and GPS navigation

Commercial HVAC Service Technician Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC units on service calls throughout the Bronx, Queens, and Manhattan
• Run preventative maintenance on scheduled accounts to keep equipment running and catch problems before they turn into breakdowns
• Troubleshoot electrical, refrigerant, and airflow issues and get systems back online fast
• Cover calls in Brooklyn, Westchester, and Nassau/Suffolk as needed
• Plan your routes across the boroughs to hit every call on time
• Document the work performed and parts used on every job
• Represent the company professionally with building managers and facility staff

Commercial HVAC Service Technician Qualifications:

• 5+ years of commercial HVAC service and maintenance experience!
• A strong service and PM background on commercial units (this role is built for service techs, so install focused or residential experience won't carry over).
• Know your way around the 5 boroughs.
• Clean driving record and a valid driver's license.
• Bronx or Queens residents strongly preferred.
• Self sufficient and comfortable running your own day in the field.
