Hunton Services, a division of the Hunton Group is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician - Level 3 to support the team in Childress, Texas. This position is responsible for advanced diagnostics, repair, maintenance, startup, and operational support of heavy-commercial HVAC and critical cooling systems. The selected candidate will work independently on complex equipment, assist with maintaining continuous site operations, provide technical guidance to other technicians, and communicate equipment conditions and recommended actions to site leadership.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, inspections, and assigned work orders on commercial HVAC and critical cooling equipment.
- Respond to service calls and equipment alarms in a timely manner to support continuous data center operations.
- Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, airflow, hydronic, and controls-related equipment issues.
- Service, repair, start up, and support reciprocating, rotary, and centrifugal chillers, along with associated pumps, cooling towers, air-handling equipment, and ancillary systems.
- Evaluate system performance across airside, waterside, refrigeration, variable frequency drive, and basic controls interfaces to identify root causes.
- Lead or support major repairs, equipment startup, commissioning, retrofit, and vendor-supported activities while following approved site procedures.
- Review trends, readings, alarms, drawings, sequence information, and service history to recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Provide technical direction, field support, and practical coaching to Level 1 and Level 2 technicians.
- Assist site leadership with repair planning, parts identification, scope development, escalation, and clear communication of equipment risk.
- Verify completed repairs and system operation before returning equipment to service and document all findings thoroughly.
- Inspect equipment conditions, identify deficiencies, and communicate findings and recommended next steps to site leadership.
- Maintain accurate service records, work-order notes, equipment histories, readings, and parts usage in the designated maintenance system.
- Coordinate work with site operations, controls personnel, vendors, and other technicians to minimize operational disruption.
- Follow site access, change-management, lockout/tagout, safety, environmental, and customer-specific procedures.
- Maintain tools, test instruments, company equipment, and assigned work areas in a safe and orderly condition.
- Participate in shift coverage, after-hours response, overtime, weekends, and emergency support as required by site operations.
