Positions Supervised: Facilities technician
8 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday- Friday. However, adjustments in schedule, travel, after-hours response, or additional hours may be required to complete duties or respond to urgent facility needs.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Licensed HVAC Technician is responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems across Mainline Health Systems, Inc. facilities. This position helps ensure a safe, comfortable, compliant, and efficient environment for patients, staff, and visitors by maintaining proper temperature control, airflow, ventilation, and equipment performance in clinical and administrative settings. The Facilities Technician employee is involved in continuous Quality Improvement practices and measures as set by Mainline Health Systems, Inc. and in which the practice focus is based on a Patient Centered Medical Home model of care.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Completion of HVAC trade school, technical training, apprenticeship, or equivalent experience preferred.
Licensure / Certification: Current HVAC license required. EPA Section 608 certification required or must be obtained as required for job duties. Valid driver's license is required.
Experience: Five years or more of related HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical, or facility maintenance experience preferred. Experience in healthcare, commercial, multi-site, or regulated environments preferred.
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills preferred, including the ability to use email, electronic work order systems, spreadsheets, and Word documents.
Other Requirements: Ability to troubleshoot HVAC systems, read basic technical manuals or diagrams, communicate professionally, work independently, travel between clinic locations, respond to urgent needs, and attend continuing education related to this position.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position may require work in mechanical rooms, rooftops, ceilings, crawl spaces, outdoor areas, high temperatures, low temperatures, wet environments, and inclement weather. This position may involve exposure to electrical components, refrigerants, moving mechanical parts, ladders, noise, dust, chemicals, and other hazards associated with HVAC and facility maintenance work. The employee must follow all safety requirements and use appropriate personal protective equipment.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
The Licensed HVAC Technician reports to the Maintenance Manager.
EVALUATION:
Evaluation of work performance will be ongoing and will be carried out by the Maintenance Manager. A formal annual review will be conducted each year. Formal goals for the position may be set annually based on organizational needs, facility priorities, safety requirements,
