    HVAC Technician
    Blaine, MN
    Temp-to-Perm, Full-Time


    TempExperts is seeking an HVAC Technician in Blaine, MN for a full-time, temp-to-perm opportunity. This role supports the day-to-day operation of HVAC and mechanical systems within an industrial/large commercial environment, ensuring equipment runs safely, efficiently, and reliably.

    Responsibilities:
    • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on HVAC and mechanical equipment.
    • Conduct routine inspections; monitor metering equipment; adjust operating levels to maintain continuous operation.
    • Identify and resolve safety-related issues; evaluate equipment to prevent potential failures.
    • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair ventilation systems, pumps, fans, chillers, rooftop units, split systems, compressors, and refrigeration equipment.
    • Utilize building automation systems to monitor facility conditions and system performance.
    • Recharge refrigerant, detect leaks, and confirm proper refrigerant-cycle operation.
    • Complete scheduled maintenance tasks using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
    • Respond to work orders and communicate status updates while ensuring compliance with codes and regulations.
    • Follow safety protocols including lockout/tagout procedures and proper PPE usage.
    • Use diagnostic tools and instruments to support equipment performance and energy-efficiency initiatives.
    • Maintain accurate documentation in electronic and/or paper systems.
    • Collaborate with team members and support site emergencies as needed.
    • Perform additional duties as assigned.
    Requirements/Education:
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • 3+ years of HVAC/R maintenance experience in industrial or commercial environments.
    • Ability to work at heights using aerial or scissor lifts.
    • Strong communication and customer service skills.
    • Ability to pass respirator medical evaluation and fit testing.
    • Ability to pass a pre-employment substance abuse screening.
    • Ability to obtain required security access credentials.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
    • Ability to obtain a valid driver’s license if required and maintain facility authorization credentials.
    • U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency required (no sponsorship available).
    • Technical degree preferred.
    • EPA Universal Refrigeration certification preferred (or ability to obtain).
    • Experience in GMP or regulated environments preferred.
    • Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and technical drawings.
    • Experience with industrial systems such as boilers, chillers, cooling towers, compressors, and automation systems preferred.
    • Experience with CMMS systems (Maximo preferred).
    • Predictive maintenance experience is a plus.
