    Description

    Commercial HVAC Start & Test Team Leader

    Experience: 5–10 years

    Core Technical Skills

    • Install commercial HVAC equipment
    • Advanced troubleshooting of:
      • Zone systems
      • DC voltage controls
    • In-depth knowledge of mechanical codes
    • NATE / Air Distribution Certification
    • Ability to troubleshoot and repair all HVAC systems and control systems
    • Install refrigerant piping
    • Working knowledge of:
      • Residential/light commercial ductwork
      • HVAC systems, controls & thermostats
      • Gas piping
    • Ability to braze and solder
    • Read and interpret mechanical codes
    • Troubleshoot HVAC units and control systems
    • Zone system wiring (ASI, etc.)
    • Low Voltage Wiring

    Leadership Expectations

    • Manage two or more technicians independently (no office assistance)
    • Follow all GSM management guidelines
    • Full responsibility for:
      • Crew time & production
      • Truck maintenance, cleanliness & tools
      • OSHA & company safety standards
      • Proper PPE use and enforcement

    Required Certifications

    • CFC Certification
    • Powder Gun Certification
    • AWP Certification
    • Zoom Lock, Pro Press & Mega Press Certifications
    • EPA 608 Universal

    Requirements

    ·         Must have valid driver’s license with safe driving record

    ·         Professional appearance & uniforms

    ·         Exceptional punctuality, attendance & attitude

    ·         Ability to read, interpret drawings & equipment manuals

    ·         Ability to set up, climb and work from ladders

    ·         Lift and carry tools, refrigerant, and equipment up to 75 lbs.

    ·         Maintain GSM Services standards of quality, performance & professionalism

    ·         Deliver Comfort & Peace of Mind to customers and coworkers

    ·         Comply with all safety policies and procedures

    ·         Maintain tools and equipment in proper working conditions

    ·         Accurately complete daily time records and daily log of work performed

    ·         Maintain attendance by GSM Services policy

    ·         Additional duties as assigned
