    About the Role Custom Air & Plumbing is seeking a skilled and reliable HVAC Rough-In Technician to install heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems during the initial construction phase of residential projects. What You’ll Be Doing Installs ductwork systems, including flex, rigid, and metal duct, according to engineered plans and mechanical layouts Installs refrigerant line sets, condensate drain lines, and venting systems Ensures proper duct strapping, sealing, and insulation Ensures correct pitch and support of drain lines to prevent operational issues Coordinates with builders and other trades during the construction phase to ensure efficient workflow and code compliance. Maintains job site cleanliness Adheres to safety standards Verifies that all installations meet local mechanical codes Communicates material needs, project progress, and any field issues to their supervisor. What We’re Looking For 2 years of hands-on residential HVAC installation experience Experience reading blueprints, laying out duct systems, setting equipment platforms, and ensuring all rough-in work meets local building codes and company standards.
