Job Summary
Beluga Heating Air & Electrical is looking for a motivated salesperson to meet with residential homeowners, assess their comfort needs, and offer high-quality heating and cooling solutions in the Hudson Valley/NY metro area. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys in-home consultations, building relationships, and closing deals in a fast-paced service environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet with pre-set residential leads to evaluate HVAC needs and present system replacement or upgrade options.
- Educate customers on comfort, efficiency, indoor air quality, and financing options to help them choose the best solution for their home and budget.
- Prepare clear written proposals, including equipment options, pricing, and warranties, and follow up on open quotes to close sales.
- Use our CRM/dispatch system to document all appointments, quotes, and outcomes accurately and on time.
- Collaborate with our install and service teams to ensure jobs are sold correctly, turned in cleanly, and scheduled efficiently.
- Stay up to date on current promotions, rebates, and industry trends to maximize value for customers and increase close rates.
Requirements
- 2+ years of successful in-home or outside sales experience; home services or HVAC sales strongly preferred.
- Strong communication and listening skills, with the ability to build trust quickly in customers' homes.
- Comfortable discussing money, presenting good-better-best options, and asking for the sale on the first visit.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and ability to work some evenings and Saturdays based on customer demand.
- Basic computer/CRM skills; ability to use tablet-based estimating tools.
- HVAC knowledge is a plus, but we will train the right sales-focused candidate.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base pay plus commission structure with on-target earnings that can exceed typical residential HVAC sales ranges in our area, depending on performance.
- Company vehicle or allowance, fuel card, tablet/phone, and ongoing technical and sales training.

Schedule
- Full-time position.
- Primarily afternoon/evening and some weekend appointments to align with homeowner availability; daytime training and meetings as needed.
