HVAC/Refrigeration Service Technician

The HVAC/Refrigeration Service Technician will work independently as a representative of Tri-State Mechanical Services, Inc. performing maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of HVAC equipment, refrigeration, electrical, and mechanical, which may include HVAC RTU's, split systems, display cases, and walk-in coolers and freezers, while ensuring outstanding customer satisfaction. · Experience with Novar, CPC, Danfoss Energy Management Controls, and Rack Refrigeration is a plus.

Family owned Tri-State Mechanical Services, Inc. has been providing air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration services and installation to St. Louis and surrounding areas for over 35 years.

The HVAC/Refrigeration Service Technician will work independently as a representative of Tri-State Mechanical Services, Inc. performing maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of HVAC equipment, refrigeration, electrical, and mechanical, which may include HVAC RTU's, split systems, display  cases, and walk-in coolers and freezers, while ensuring outstanding customer satisfaction.
 
The ideal candidate will have at least one (1) year hands on, in field, experience. We are willing to train to further hone your skills. 
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
·         Install new HVAC and refrigeration systems
·         Diagnose and perform equipment repairs and replacements
·         Maintain high-quality customer service and care
·         Provide timely and quality repairs
·         Provide detailed notes and pictures in all dispatched assignments
·         Follow company policy on all check-in and check-out procedures with all customers
·         Keep a clean, organized truck
·         Travel and on-call are required
·         Adhere to all safety policies and procedures


 Desired Skills, Certifications, and Education:
·         Previous experience in HVAC/Refrigeration
·         Familiarity with HVAC wiring diagrams
·         Excellent communication skills
·         Time management skills
·         Team player who can ensure fast, reliable, and expert service to every customer
·         Mechanical aptitude
·         Ability to follow directions and specific process steps to ensure quality workmanship
·         Self-sufficient and able to work with little direct supervision
·         Flexibility to work variable and flexible hours, including overtime
·         Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license
·         EPA Certification: Universal    
·         Supermarket refrigeration/freezer experience or warehouse refrigeration is an asset
·         Experience with Novar, CPC, Danfoss Energy Management Controls, and Rack Refrigeration is a plus
·         Perform other related duties as required and assigned
