Berks Career & Technology Center (BCTC) is looking for an experienced HVAC professional who is ready to take the knowledge and skills they've built in the field and pass them on to the next generation of technicians.

You don't have to be an instructor to apply and we don't expect an experienced HVAC professional to walk into the classroom and know everything about teaching on day one. To apply, you need to know HVAC, enjoy working with young people, and have a desire to make a difference. BCTC will assist you in learning the classroom piece by providing you with support, mentoring and resources to help you make the transition from industry professional to an instructor.

What We're Looking For – We are interested in experienced HVAC professionals who are ready to share their knowledge with the next generation. Required qualifications include:

• Minimum four years of full-time, wage-earning HVAC/Refrigeration experience beyond training
• Pennsylvania Department of Education certification in Heating, Air Conditioning, Ventilation and Refrigeration Maintenance Technology/Technician (CIP 47.0201 – Air Conditioning 2010), or eligibility to obtain certification
• Strong technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively
• Ability to establish positive relationships with students and maintain a safe, structured learning environment
• Commitment to hands-on, industry-based instruction
