Description
An experienced HVAC Project Manager with a strong background in sheet metal and mechanical piping systems to oversee multiple commercial HVAC projects from kickoff through completion. This role requires expertise in construction documentation, project coordination, client communication, and reviewing fabrication and coordination drawings to ensure quality and project success.
Required:
Experience managing HVAC projects involving sheet metal and mechanical piping systems
Strong understanding of duct fabrication, joints, and connections, including SMACNA and ASHRAE standards
Excellent blueprint reading and interpretation skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience with RFIs, change orders, AIA billing, and construction project documentation
Familiarity with project management software such as Procore, Constructware, PlanGrid, or similar platforms
Experience using Bluebeam (or Adobe Acrobat) for PDF markups
Knowledge of file sharing platforms including Procore, Box, and OneDrive
Experience with Autodesk Navisworks or willingness to obtain certification (training provided)
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, and other online meeting platforms
Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects simultaneously
Leadership or team management experience is preferred
Job Responsibilities:
Manage multiple HVAC projects from project award through completion
Review contract documents and estimates to confirm project scope
Prepare project startup documentation, including product submittals, AIA billing forms, and client contact information
Attend coordination meetings with clients and project stakeholders
Review coordination and fabrication drawings prior to client submission to ensure quality and accuracy
Coordinate with drafting teams to ensure deliverables meet project requirements and client expectations
Track project documentation, RFIs, change orders, and billing throughout the project lifecycle
Maintain communication with clients, internal teams, and subcontractors to keep projects on schedule
Utilize project management and collaboration software to organize project information and documentation
Ensure projects are completed in accordance with contract requirements, industry standards, and company expectations
