HVAC Parts Store Manager

The HVAC Parts Store Manager is expected to drive store sales through aggressive marketing and excellent customer service while maintaining the desired margin goal. This position is responsible for the determination of inventory carried within the location and pricing of inventory.

Location: New Orleans, LA

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Recruit, hire, and lead a team to supply HVAC parts, equipment, and supplies over the phone and in person, interacting with customers on a daily basis.
  • Plan, develop, and implement operational policies and goals.
  • Coordinate with local and corporate management to maintain processes and standards, as well as contribute to the development of new standards.
  • Determine responsibilities of assigned staff positions to accomplish business objectives.
  • Create solutions to customer needs by providing overall technical support and researching options, including but not limited to: • Receiving and processing orders • Product and service questions • Warranty administration • Overall customer complaints
  • Determine the inventory mix based on current market, future market trends, and customer needs, along with making sure that inventory mix is maintained within the location.
  • Responsible for overall inventory management and ensuring that it is appropriately accounted for.
  • Research competitive information to competitively price all inventory while maintaining a solid profit margin.
  • Create a comprehensive marketing strategy for the direct sales office and determine the most efficient avenues to achieve or exceed overall revenue goals.
  • Process customer orders in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Drive customer policy enhancements based on need and make exceptions to customer policies and procedures where appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree or Equivalent technical experience with HVAC Parts
  • 6-8 years of HVAC and/or store sales experience
  • 4 years of people leadership experience
  • Ability to drive a forklift or forklift certified is preferred
  • Accounts payable and/or accounts receivable experience is preferred

  • Base salary with performance-based incentive plan
  • Paid bi-weekly for base salary, monthly for performance-based incentive plan
  • 1 to 3 weeks of vacation per year as tenure increases
  • Additional PTO - 4 hours each month after 90 days employment

  • 401K plan includes an optional profit-sharing contribution that has historically been funded since the plan started. A contribution is made for you even if you dont contribute to the 401k plan. Typically 3 of salary is contributed each March.
