As a team we are committed inspired and connected to make a difference in the community.  What You Will DoAs an HVAC Mechanic you will perform a full range of services on heating ventilation air conditioning equipment and systems in accordance with all applicable industry standards laws and regulations. Under the direction of a Lead HVAC Mechanic or Facilities Supervisor you will apply your HVAC knowledge and skills to provide services to all County buildings. We are looking for a well-rounded individual with an intermediate level of mechanical knowledge.Essential Duties
Perform intermediate maintenance services related to heating ventilation air conditioning plumbing and stationary building equipment. Test troubleshoot make intermediate repairs and perform preventative maintenance as needed.
Inspect mechanical systems. Lay out and perform mechanical installations.
Adjust and repair pneumatic systems.
Operate Building Automation System.
Gather proper materials and tools in preparation for jobs. Use resources effectively.
Collect and record data using a Computerized Maintenance Management System including logging daily work and preventative maintenance tasks.
Read and interpret manuals blueprints and schematics.
Independently run service calls and make emergency HVAC repairs as needed.
Assist other HVAC Mechanics with projects and repairs. Perform other trades duties as needed.
Follow all established safety rules and regulations. Maintain a clean orderly and safe work environment.
Ensure all work is complete and timely to support department goals. Evaluate feedback and procedures to improve efficiency.
Invite collaboration and seek learning opportunities. Proactively assist peers to create a supportive work environment.

Required Licenses and Certifications
Valid drivers license
CFC Type II certification
A2L Refrigerant certification or must obtain within six months of employment
Additional Information
Will be required to work outside of standard hours.
May be identified as Essential Personnel during emergency situations.
Requires criminal background check as condition of employment.
Must meet Carroll County Risk Management driver eligibility requirements
Working Conditions
Frequent exposure to potentially adverse environmental conditions including but not limited to chemicals noise and airborne particles.
