HVAC Install Manager Wanted: Lead the Crew, Raise the Standard, Deliver Excellence

Alright, let's get one thing straight.

This is not a clipboard-and-coffee job.

If you're looking to spend your day sitting behind a desk, avoiding jobsite visits, or hoping install problems magically solve themselves—you'll probably hate it here.

But if you're the kind of leader who:

  • Holds people accountable and has their back
  • Believes quality workmanship matters more than rushing through jobs
  • Knows coaching and development create stronger installers than pressure ever will
  • Takes pride in clean installs, organized trucks, and five-star customer experiences

...then pull up a chair. We should talk.

What This Role Is Really About

As our HVAC Install Manager, you're responsible for setting the standard for our installation department.

You'll lead a team of installers by driving performance, reinforcing installation quality, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring every job is completed the right way—not just the fast way.

Your mission is simple (but not easy): build a high-performing install team that customers trust, apprentices learn from, and teammates are proud to be part of.

What You'll Be Doing (a.k.a. Your Day-to-Day Dad Duties)

  • Lead weekly install team meetings that create accountability, improve communication, and reinforce expectations.
  • Conduct regular jobsite visits to coach installers, inspect workmanship, and ensure Call Dad quality standards are being met.
  • Review completed installations, job photos, permits, and paperwork to identify coaching opportunities and maintain consistency.
  • Lead weekly technical and installation training sessions to continuously improve team performance.
  • Complete monthly safety training yourself and ensure your team does the same—because nobody enjoys preventable accidents.
  • Partner with the Install Coordinator and warehouse team to ensure equipment, materials, and schedules are aligned for success.
  • Handle escalated installation concerns quickly and professionally, working across departments to create solutions and protect the customer experience.
  • Conduct monthly truck and tool inventory audits to ensure equipment is properly maintained and accounted for.
  • Ensure company vehicles, uniforms, and jobsites reflect Call Dad standards and professionalism.
  • Hold monthly one-on-ones that build trust, improve performance, and support employee growth.
  • Use the PDP process to help installers reach their professional and personal goals.
  • Respond to calls, texts, and messages within one hour (ghosting is for teenagers, not managers).

How We Measure Success (No Guessing Games)

You'll be accountable for key metrics like:

  • Install revenue and gross margin performance
  • Installation quality and callback rates
  • Team productivity and efficiency
  • Customer satisfaction scores
  • 5-Star Google reviews
  • Safety compliance and training completion
  • Open install capacity and schedule utilization

If numbers aren't your thing, don't worry—we'll help you learn them.

If avoiding numbers is your thing... this won't end well.

The Dad Values We Expect You to Live By

We don't just talk culture—we expect you to model it:

Serve Like Family – customers and teammates alike

Small Acts; Big Impacts – details matter

Foster Communication – say it early, say it clearly

Cultivate Curiosity – always be learning

Keep It Fun – work is serious, but it doesn't have to be miserable

Who This Role Is Perfect For

You'll thrive here if you:

  • Have strong residential HVAC installation experience and leadership skills
  • Can coach, correct, and motivate without losing your cool
  • Believe standards exist for a reason—and enforce them fairly
  • Care about quality, culture, and results
  • Understand that developing people is just as important as completing jobs

If you're the leader installers respect, customers trust, and ownership relies on—we want you.

The Payoff

You'll get:

  • A leadership role with real authority and real expectations
  • Competitive compensation with a salary range of $75,000–$95,000 annually, plus performance-based bonus opportunities
  • The opportunity to build and develop a high-performing install department
  • Support from leadership that believes in accountability and growth
  • The satisfaction of leading a team that takes pride in doing things the right way

If you're ready to lead from the front, raise the standard, and build an install department that's known for quality—apply now.

Dad's watching.
