The HVAC Install Lead is responsible for leading residential HVAC installation projects from start to finish. This role oversees install crews, ensures high-quality workmanship, maintains safety standards, and delivers an excellent customer experience while meeting company performance goals.


Key Responsibilities


  • Lead and manage HVAC installation crews on residential projects

  • Install complete HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductwork, and accessories

  • Ensure installations meet manufacturer specifications, local codes, and company quality standards

  • Read and interpret blueprints, job layouts, and system designs

  • Coordinate job site logistics, materials, and tools

  • Train, mentor, and support install helpers and junior technicians

  • Communicate professionally with homeowners and answer basic system questions

  • Complete job documentation, photos, and paperwork accurately

  • Perform system start-ups, testing, and commissioning

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site

  • Identify potential issues and proactively recommend solutions

  • Work closely with dispatch, sales, and management teams

Qualifications


  • 4–6+ years of residential HVAC installation experience

  • Prior leadership or crew-lead experience preferred

  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, airflow, duct design, and controls

  • Ability to read wiring diagrams and installation manuals

  • EPA Certification (required)

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills

  • Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in attics, crawlspaces, and rooftops

Preferred Certifications (Not Required)

  • Local or state HVAC license

Work Schedule


  • Full-time - Start 7:30AM to TBD

  • Monday–Friday with occasional overtime as needed
