HVAC Field Technician, Diagnostics & Installation (Residential)

We’re looking for a residential HVAC professional who pairs technical excellence with outstanding communication. If you thrive on solving problems, leading installs, and empowering customers with smart choices, this role is for you.

Your Impact

You’ll own the customer experience from greeting to wrap-up—delivering precise maintenance, repairs, and installs while clearly explaining findings and options. You’ll also coach an Assistant Installation Technician to ensure craftsmanship that reflects our standards.

Core Responsibilities

• Service and maintain newer residential heating and air conditioning systems to company quality benchmarks.
• Educate homeowners and offer multiple solution paths—technical and investment considerations included.
• Perform leak checks on pipe/tubing joints with gauges or soap-and-water; verify electrical continuity using proper test equipment.
• Repair/replace defective components, equipment, and wiring.
• Execute complete, satisfactory installation of residential HVAC equipment and accessories.
• Oversee the work of an Assistant Installation Technician; resolve questions and ensure complete satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years as an HVAC service and installation technician; 5+ years preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License and EPA Certification.
• Experience with chillers, heat pumps, air handlers, and geothermal systems.
• Ability to climb ladders, crawl, and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Proficient in HVAC Service & Installation.
