This is a hands-on, highly credible leadership position designed for a trade professional who leads with passion, fairness, and transparency. The manager acts as the primary bridge between field operations, sales, and management—ensuring jobs are walked, scopes are verified, technical troubleshooting support is provided, and field technicians receive structured ongoing training. The ideal candidate thrives in a "squad leader" capacity, leading by example without relying on heavy-handed management styles.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

- Field Work Execution & Coordination: Oversee daily job site execution; partner with Operations to align technician skill sets with schedule demands, and review takeoffs/walk sold jobs with Sales before assigning lead technicians.
- Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Serve as the primary technical resource in the field or remotely (e.g., via FaceTime) to assist technicians with complex diagnostics, repair strategies, and job site obstacles.
- Safety, Quality & Compliance: Champion safety compliance, perform job site observations, conduct root-cause reviews on callbacks or workmanship issues, and handle customer quality concerns as a level-headed, unbiased leader.
- Training & Bench Strength Development: Assess field skill levels, design practical internal and manufacturer training plans, manage the training budget, and mentor rising team leads.
- Weekly Operations & Administration: Review and approve weekly timesheets by mid-Monday morning, manage job site materials at the warehouse, set weekly schedules, and coordinate weekend/emergency coverage when necessary.

(Note: Experience in commercial HVAC service, or equivalent experience in commissioning, engineering, or leading a trade team with a strong understanding of 24/7 service operations, will be considered).
- Technical & Soft Skills: Strong technical diagnostic, troubleshooting, and field execution skills in commercial HVAC systems. Team-first mindset, level-headed under pressure, highly approachable, and experienced in coaching technicians without using shame-and-blame tactics.
