    A day in your work boots

    1. Morning dispatch: Review your schedule of residential and commercial calls, stock the truck, and plan efficient routes.
    2. On-site evaluation: Diagnose heating, cooling, and ventilation issues. Verify airflow, electrical, refrigerant, and control performance to pinpoint root causes.
    3. Hands-on repairs: Perform service and repair work, including drain cleaning and related service tasks, ensuring systems are safe and reliable.
    4. Customer conversations: Explain findings, offer repair options, and set clear expectations with homeowners and building contacts.
    5. Mentor moments: Coach apprentices on technique, safety, professionalism, and documentation.
    6. Documentation & wrap-up: Complete accurate service notes and recommendations before heading to the next call.
    7. After-hours support: Rotate through on-call assignments to help customers when urgent needs arise.
    8. Shop standards: Keep your vehicle and workspace clean, organized, and safe—always.

    What you’ll handle

    • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential HVAC systems
    • Perform drain cleaning and resolve related service issues
    • Communicate clearly and professionally with homeowners
    • Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation
    • Mentor and support apprentices
    • Accurately complete service documentation
    • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
    • Uphold company standards for workmanship, safety, and customer service

    What you bring

    • Minimum 4 years of residential and/or commercial HVAC troubleshooting experience
    • Hands-on experience with drain cleaning and related service work
    • Willingness to take part in on-call rotations
    • Interest in mentoring and training apprentices
    • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
    • Excellent customer service and communication skills
    • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
    • Ability to work independently and manage daily service calls
