HVAC/Engineering

• Minimum 2 years experience in plant operations.
• Working knowledge of:
• plant equipment.
• plumbing codes.
• electrical codes.
• national/local fire codes.
• local mechanical code.
• water treatment program.
• blueprints and plumbing schematics.
• power and hand tools, meters, etc. as they relate to the technical trades.
• Fluency in job-related English, both verbal and written.
• Provide legible communication and directions.
• Compute basic mathematical calculations (add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers in processing charges).
• Ability to:
• interpret manufacturer's literature for installation, preparation, use and upkeep of various materials and products used throughout the property.

• understand and operate emergency equipment (for example: fire extinguisher, wheelchairs, respirators).

Responsible for repairs, maintenance, upkeep and replacement of the property's plant systems and equipment in accordance with hotel standards. Will assist in other areas of Engineering as assigned. Under the Director of Engineering/Chief Engineer, responsible for repairs to plumbing, electrical, HVAC and mechanical systems. Respond to guest calls and cover all shifts. Responsible for familiarity with fire alarm systems, sprinkler and domestic water shut off valves. Must be proficient in one or more of the following (experience should include extensive training and/or schooling and possible licensing and/or certification): pool maintenance, kitchen maintenance, equipment maintenance/repair, refrigeration, HVAC, electrical/mechanical systems, plumbing, PM maintenance and other tasks outlined in the job description or that may become necessary to conduct maintenance repairs to the building, equipment, or systems.
