The HVAC Construction Project Manager is responsible for overseeing commercial HVAC construction projects from kickoff through completion. This role manages project schedules, budgets, resources, subcontractors, and customer relationships to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of HVAC construction projects.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets.
• Coordinate field operations, subcontractors, and material procurement.
• Review project drawings, specifications, and submittals.
• Track costs, labor productivity, and project profitability.
• Manage change orders and contract requirements.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, contractors, and project stakeholders.
• Conduct project meetings and provide status updates.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company standards.
• Oversee project closeout and turnover documentation.

Essential Skills

• 10+ years of HVAC or mechanical construction project management experience.
• Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, piping, ductwork, and controls.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and subcontractors.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with Procore, Viewpoint, or similar project management platforms.
• OSHA 30 certification.
• Experience in design-build mechanical construction environments.

Work Environment

This role requires working five days on site, with approximately 30% of the time spent in the field and 70% in the office. The hours are from 7:00 am to 4:30 pm, with some flexibility. The environment is family-oriented, fostering a collaborative and supportive atmosphere. Projects are based in New Jersey, providing stability and focus. Employees receive a company vehicle or car allowance, three weeks of PTO, and a 401k plan with 50 cents on the dollar matching contributions. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $140000.00 - $160000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
