HVAC & Commercial Equipment Technician

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the HVAC & Commercial Equipment Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of commercialfoodserviceequipment,HVACsystems,refrigeration equipment, andrelated components.This roleplaysakeypartinensuring efficient operation of food service and facility equipment across our Glacier Park teams. Responsibilities include:

Thisismorethanatechnician role.We arecommitted toinvesting inyour long-termsuccess through acomprehensive,department-fundedtraining program. Whether you're bringing existing certifications or looking to earn them, we'll support your professional growth and development. During your first three years in this position, you will develop expertise withHVAC,refrigeration,and commercialfood service equipment through structuredtechnicaltraining,industry-recognizedcertification, and hands-on experience alongside experienced professionals in one of North America's most iconic destinations.

Equipment Maintenance, Repair &Installation

• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and install commercial HVAC, refrigeration, and food service equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance to ensure equipment reliability, efficiency, and safe operation.
• Support facility maintenance through minor plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and carpentry repairs.
• Coordinate parts and materials procurement and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Completeallwork incompliancewithsafetystandardsandestablishedmaintenanceprograms.

Documentation&Communication

• Utilizeacomputerized maintenancemanagementsystem(CMMS) to document workorders,repairs,preventative maintenance and partsusage.
• Participateintheworkorderdispatchprocessandrespondtoservicerequestsinaccordancewithdepartmentprocedures.
• Maintain clear, professional communication with supervisors, team members, and other departments.

Customer Service &Teamwork

• Foster positive working relationships with guests, colleagues, contractors, and leadership while delivering responsive, customer-focus
• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner, supporting the efficient operation of the facility.
• Identifyoperationalimprovementopportunitiesandcommunicaterecommendations,concerns, andequipmentissues tomanagement
• Participateinmeetings,safetybriefings,andtrainingprograms whilemaintainingaprofessional appearanceand adhering to organizational protocols, and site procedures.

Training & Professional Development

Inthisrole,youwillbetoparticipatein a department-fundedtechnicaltrainingprogram duringyour firstthreeyearsof employment. This training program contains online and in person structured training.  Master equipment technician certification will conclude at the end of the third year in the program and will be presented through the Commercial Food Equipment Service Association (CFESA). Annual pay increases will be directly tied to timely completions of the scheduled training.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and installing commercial HVAC, refrigeration, food service, or related mechanical
• Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance practices and the ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues efficiently.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams.

 Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other digital work order platforms.
• Strongcommunication,organizational,andcustomerserviceskills,withtheabilitytoworkindependentlyand aspartofateam.
• Commitment to safe work practices and the ability to perform the physical requirements of the role.
• Valid US driver's license with a clean driving record.
