THE POSITION

The Human Resources Department is recruiting for a Human Resources Analyst I (HRA I) to join a team of professionals in the administration of the Countys wellness program.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Plan, coordinate and implement wellness programs, events and campaigns, including workshops, webinars, and wellness challenges.
  • Track program participation, maintain records, and prepare reports on program outcomes.
  • Assist in developing educational materials and tools that encourage healthy lifestyle behaviors.
  • Problem-solving for unexpected challenges, involve creative thinking to address challenges, create strategic communication and marketing plans to promote initiatives and engage County staff, create marketing flyers, emails and presentations, compose high level correspondence, memos and letters, foster strong working relationships with County stakeholders and leadership team.
  • Responds to questions related to difficult technical issues, providing guidance and direction to staff.
  • Interprets human resources policies and procedures and responds to requests for information from employees, management, outside agencies and the public.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Travel: Travel throughout the County is required. Employees will be required to make provisions for transportation and may be required to use personal vehicles (mileage reimbursement is available). At the time of hire, a valid California Class C driver license and proof of automobile liability insurance must be produced for the individual providing the transportation.

Background: Candidates selected for this position must pass a background investigation and medical examination including drug screening.

Minimum Requirements

A Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral/Social/Health Science, Human Resources Management, Organizational Psychology, Communications/Marketing, IT, or a closely related field.

AND

One (1) year of experience within a Human Resources (HR) environment with primary responsibility for the administration and delivery of employee benefits or developing and managing comprehensive wellness/health, commuter, and/or charitable programs and education.
