Description

Summary:

  • Sched: 20-25 hours per week
  • Work Mode: Onsite
  • Location: Mission Center Building

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver hands-on, face-to-face laboratory instruction in an 18-month program.
  • Guide students through psychomotor and applied skills to achieve clinical competency.
  • Facilitate small-group laboratory sessions, approximately six students each.
  • Demonstrate and supervise both energized and non-energized laboratory practice.
  • Reinforce radiation-safety and patient-care principles.
  • Evaluate students' skill acquisition in a safe and well-supervised environment.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in radiologic technology or a related field (or equivalent experience/training).
  • Current, unrestricted ARRT certification and registration in Radiography — R(R).
  • Current California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) / state radiologic technology license.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification for healthcare providers.

Preferred Skills:

  • Applied clinical knowledge of radiographic positioning, equipment operation, image production, and patient-care skills.
  • Knowledge of radiation-safety and patient-safety principles, including ALARA, shielding, collimation, infection control, and safe patient handling.
  • Familiarity with JRCERT Standards applicable to laboratory instruction.
  • Skill in demonstrating psychomotor techniques and evaluating students' skill acquisition with documented criteria.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for small-group instruction and feedback.
  • Ability to manage a safe, organized, and equitable laboratory environment.
  • Proficiency with standard office software and learning-management/clinical-tracking platforms.
