The HR Onboarding and Benefits Specialist supports a diverse healthcare workforce by coordinating all aspects of the onboarding process and administering employee benefit programs. This role manages pre-employment requirements, including background checks, credential and licensure verification, health and immunization compliance, and orientation for new hires. The HR Specialist (Onboarding & Benefits) provides guidance on benefit enrollment, eligibility, and changes while ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with regulatory agencies.

In addition to onboarding and benefits administration, the specialist processes personnel actions such as status changes, transfers, pay updates, and other related changes. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing sensitive information with discretion. Through efficient processes and exceptional service, the HR Onboarding and Benefits Specialist plays a critical part in supporting employee engagement, retention, and a positive workplace culture.

This position reports to the Human Resources Manager. This person assumes responsibility and accountability for the duties and is cognizant of the philosophy, standards, objectives, and policies of the Schneider Regional Medical Center and the HR Department.
