What You'll DoAs a Human Resources Specialist, you'll have hands-on responsibility throughout the employee lifecycle-from finding and hiring talent to onboarding employees and supporting their continued success.Additional Duties and Responsibilities Include:Own and coordinate full-cycle recruiting for hourly and salaried positions for Diamond Game and Schafer while assisting with recruiting for other company entities as needed.Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, develop and update job descriptions, determine job requirements and recommend effective recruiting and selection approaches.Manage job postings, applicant tracking systems and candidate pipelines while evaluating applicants against position requirements.Conduct screening interviews, identify potential selection or compliance concerns and make recommendations regarding candidates who should advance.Coordinate interviews and communication between candidates and hiring managers while creating a positive, professional candidate experience.Prepare offer letters within approved compensation guidelines and assist with routine background check, pre-employment and hiring-related issues, escalating concerns when appropriate.Coordinate new hire onboarding and employee offboarding, including employment documentation, orientation schedules, employee records, required training, exit documentation and exit interviews.Support employee benefit programs, including health, dental, vision, retirement and wellness offerings, while assisting with employee questions, enrollment changes, open enrollment and benefits communications.Coordinate employee training programs, maintain training records, track required compliance and safety training and assist with training materials and development initiatives.Serve as a first point of contact for routine HR questions for Schafer and provide guidance regarding policies, procedures and employment practices.Support employee relations activities, including documentation, investigations and corrective action processes in partnership with HR leadership.Work with managers on goal setting, coaching, performance documentation, performance improvement plans and employee recognition, helping evaluate proposed actions for consistency with policy and prior practices.Support employee engagement initiatives and help foster a positive, respectful and inclusive workplace.Maintain accurate and confidential HR records and assist with reporting, audits, compliance activities and special HR projects.Travel to company locations by air and car as needed.Other duties as required.What We're Looking ForWe're looking for someone with a strong educational foundation, excellent communication skills and the initiative and judgment to grow into greater HR responsibility.Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, Psychology or a related field.Internship, campus leadership or 0-2 years of HR-related experience preferred.Familiarity with HRIS or applicant tracking systems.Interest in pursuing SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus.Strong written and verbal communication skills with the confidence to interact professionally with applicants, employees and leaders.Excellent organizational, time-management and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage multiple recruiting, onboarding and HR priorities in a fast-paced environment.Strong attention to detail and accuracy when working with employee records and employment documentation.Sound judgment and the ability to appropriately handle sensitive and confidential information.Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and Outlook.Ability to work independently, take initiative and contribute as part of a collaborative HR team.Willingness to learn employment practices, HR systems, compliance requirements and company processes.Ability to travel by air and car; valid driver's license required.Ability to work well in a diverse environment.Additional Requirements:Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and provide documentation establishing identity and employment eligibility as required by federal law.Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.Ensuring the safety of our employees and compliance with industry regulations is our top priority.
