What You'll Do:

  • The Human Resources Intern supports the HR team in delivering effective services within a healthcare environment. This role provides hands-on experience in core HR functions such as recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits, compliance, and HR operations, with exposure to healthcare-specific regulations and workforce practices.
  • Answer phone inquiries, direct calls, and provide basic organizational information. Perform clerical duties including maintaining files, organizing documents, copying, and faxing.
  • Maintain accurate personnel files and HRIS data in compliance with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA, Joint Commission). Support HRIS data entry, reporting, and file audits to ensure required documentation is complete.
  • Respond to employee inquiries and direct appropriately. Support employee engagement initiatives, events, and internal communications.

What We're Looking For:

  • Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Previous internship or customer service experience preferred but not required.
  • Skills: Strong organizational skills and time management skills. Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism. Ability to prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously; Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
