Position Summary

With direct supervision, is responsible for work assignments on a part‐time or temporary employment basis, while enrolled in a university degree program. Assignments are intended to provide experience and training related to the degree discipline and in Parker business structure, operational functions, customers, and products. Coordinates activities and performs administrative duties, while aligning tasks with the team's goals and business objectives. Supports the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department with the responsibility of providing customer service to a population of over 400 employees.

Responsibilities

  • Provides day to day administrative support to the Human Resources department with tasks such as filing, copying, and preparing materials for trainings and other HR related processes
  • Compiles and maintains personnel files; routinely files documentation to ensure personnel files are up to date
  • Support Human Resources and Finance departments with weekly and monthly reporting needs
  • Prepares new hire packages and conducts new hire orientation meetings
  • Participates in coordinating company events and community outreach initiatives
  • Communicates effectively through phone, e-mail and correspondence, while maintaining a professional manner
  • Carefully handles sensitive and confidential information/situations and documentation
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required.
  • Assist with Workforce Development Initiatives
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • Actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree at an accredited university
  • Excellent internal and external customer service skills
  • Strong attention to detail, good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize with changing situations
  • Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to drive tasks to completion
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to coordinate activities for a team
  • Ability to communicate in English and Spanish preferred

Competitive Compensation

  • Pay Range: $16 to $22
  • No benefit plan eligibility
