The Opportunity

Launch your HR career with RW Thrive! As a Human Resources Intern, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting recruiting, onboarding, employee communications, and HR operations across our family of companies. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced HR professionals, contribute to meaningful projects, and help create outstanding candidate and employee experiences. If you're passionate about people, eager to learn, and ready to make an impact, this internship will give you valuable real-world experience while helping you build a strong foundation for a future career in Human Resources.

Internship Duration and Schedule

This internship will start October 2026 through May 2027, providing hands-on experience. We offer a flexible work schedule between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, allowing you to balance academic and personal commitments.

During the academic year: A minimum commitment of 10-15 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Supports recruitment activities, including posting job openings, sourcing candidates, reviewing applications, scheduling interviews, conducting candidate outreach or initial screenings as assigned, and providing applicant correspondence
• Assists with onboarding and new hire activities, including pre-employment processes, orientation preparation, training coordination, and new hire communications
• Supports internal communications by drafting and preparing employee announcements, newsletter content, flyers, intranet updates, and other HR communications
• Provides HR administrative support, including maintaining employee records and HR documents, updating organizational information, completing data entry, and assisting with routine reporting and documentation
• Performs other additional duties as assigned or required

What We're Looking For

• Currently pursuing or recently completed an associate or bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or a related field
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships, deliver professional employee communications, and provide outstanding customer service
• Solid organization, attention to detail, and discretion, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, produce accurate work, and handle confidential information with integrity
• Technology-savvy and adaptable, with proficiency in Microsoft 365, comfort using AI and HR technologies, and a proactive, collaborative approach to learning and contributing across a broad range of HR responsibilities

Desired Qualifications

• Prior internship, office, customer service, recruiting, communications, or administrative experience
• Exposure to HRIS, applicant tracking, design, intranet, or employee communication tools
• Basic knowledge of human resources principles and federal or state employment laws

Work Location

• RW Thrive is headquartered in Eau Claire, WI. This is a hybrid position, splitting time between working from a home office and working onsite at the corporate office
